The Waiting List

The Indian Economy seems to be driven by Waiting Lists.

The most familiar word to any indian today is waiting list.The most recognised and entertaining example is of the railway ticket waiting list.The symdrome is so rampant that waiting lists seem to have gained legal tender.It's not uncommon to hear people say "i'm on the waitinglist" with so much authority that the poor ticketwallah can be seen cowering with fear in a corner.

The second phenomenon is the bedrock of india's future growth-- the education system.Waitlists run as long as Rapunzel's hair, or to be more india specific ,as long as Srinagar-Kanyakumari highway.And to think of it, the cases which decide who should become an engineer, run long enough to make the engineer(aspiring ofcourse)- a Lawyer.

The same syndrome, drives indian psyche.Indians are known as late lateefs world wide.The "chalta hai "attitude is lamost accepted as the indian way of being efficiently and innately laidback(we even do not feel guilty about it, rather, we apologise for being early!!)

So the next time when you read a roadsign "Better late than never" anywhere in the world, just think that india's conquered another place.!!
