Klutziness to Canines

Had been waiting for a long time to blog about one of the usual wierd things that seem to have become a part and parcel of my life.I have the unique ability of achieveing the impossible without even aiming for it.I just happens, things fall into place for me.How many of you could have achieved this, think and tell me.

One bright morning at dawn i opened my eyes sleepily, saw the fan whirring and myself shivering.Ghrrrr, went the fan and tak tak the knob to increase the fan speed to 5, and then i slept.

Three hours just flew by, the alarm roared down the den of my ear and resonated my being after hitting the tympanum with full force. My head swam and the world seemed so beautiful.Rubbing my eyes and yawning ear to ear and eye to chin , i fumbled around for my toothbrush and managed to reach the washbasins.Brushing my teeth vigorously i walked up and down the corridor(that is the only exercise i get, and beleive me i need it).I woke up nice and bright in the process, picked up my bucket and went for a bath.Ten minutes later as i combed my raven locks(copper brown now, shall soon turn into platinum blonde aka silver!!) I heard somone yelling " hurry up else you'll be locked out of class".The superwoman in me woke up and with a speed that is hard to match i grabbed my bag, combed my hair, wore my shoes and locked my door.

Well the day had just begun.I got caught for passing chits in class for the first time in my life(it wasn't even mine,)and after 2 hours of classroom monotony, one of the latecomers all fresh and bright tells me, "sweetheart, go to your room, you've locked a dog inside"I had 5 minutes before the next class,I ran to mah room and a gallant young man asks with a smirk- U not attending class?? as if pleased by the prospect.I replied (as if it were a daily occurence), "oh i locked a dog inside".The young man bobbed his head and instead of offering help like a chivalrous young man he gallavanted to the class.Armed With an umbrella and a bag, i opened my door and jumped aside. The dog leapt out from my bucket under the bedonly to growl at me.I shooed it off and reviewed the damage. It was just as if a mini earthquake had struck my room-Books on top of the almirah lay chewed on the floor, the bedclothes were a modern art spectacle, and the crowning glory was the decapitated cell charger and LAN chord. The dog had reached new heights of destructivity( i know the word doesn't exist but am emotional about the dog rite now).It had managed to pull down the curtains and mangle then, shred them and what not.
Well so the damage was done, i quietly locked my rooma and went back to class.

Three hours of classes later, my room became the sole source of entertainment and me a source of wonder for my batch of seventy(how could you lock a dog inside your room?)Some offered an explanation sympathetically, she must have left the door open for some time and the dog might have been under the bed,I nodded understandingly.

Then began the damage control and crisis management exercise(As JJ has trained us)After the extermination of dirt and mangled clothes and books, new sheets were laid and the room hence locked. How could you stay in a glass chamber where the world could see everything you did- I had no curtains and the windows were bigger than me.Well someone came to my rescue and the office gave me bfright green dirty curtains which still offer me their musty comfort, though they are still a little sheer, they serve the purpose of frosted glass windows.

Iam still gathering the pieces of my life, the chappals and the charger have been replaced(someone kindly offered to buy them for me when they went to town 15 miles away, after i hollered or pleaded .. it depends)There are still some cracks in the jigsaw of my belongings, but they make an interesting pattern which gives me a new meaning of life everyday

Moral of the story: the incident raised my confidence another level about being unique and restored my faith and managerial skills.

But i still wonder--How did i manage to lock a dog in my room!! well that's me You see.The wierdest things are possible with me, hence iam an adventurous person, not a lazy bum . :)
