Some things change some don't

Some things change some don't
What was my destiny has come true
There is shock there is numbness
The heart says no, the brain yes
Everythings just the same, yet things have changed
There is a finality, but it was always there
There was a wish, which was a fantasy,
It died along the way or maybe went to sleep
The mind gets weary ,the burden remains.

Some things change and yet they don't
It's right across yet it's bleak
There is no denial and there is acceptance
But there is always that clash
of heart and mind
of truth and dreams
Yet above it all stands the truth
Everything thing has changed yet I shall always remain true
